A Notebook Full of Words
the random scribbles of a developing writer

Here are some books that I want everyone to read. Only I don’t. Because then they’d get ‘fans’ and that would annoy me greatly. I hate teenage fangirls that only like stuff if the main character is hot. Grr. 🙂

  1. Lament and Ballad by Maggie Stiefvater. Though they’re a little bit romantic for my tastes, I love the focus on music and the sidhe. They’re really cleverly written and I like James because he is like me: a complete freak who writes all over his hands!
  2. The New Policeman by Kate Thompson. It’s been one of my favourite books for months. Again, a focus on music and fairies and celtic legend. Well, I like that stuff, even if you don’t. 🙂
  3. The Secret Countess by Eva Ibbotson. As I said about Stiefvater’s books, a little bit romantic for me, but the characters are just so … believeable. It’s really cleverly written, and I like that about it.

That’s all for now, but I’ll give you three or four more each week. 🙂
